Our Educators

Kristina Guerrero Ledlow
Pronouns (she/her/ella)
Kristina is certified in Perinatal Mental Health. She is also a Certified Childbirth Educator and Birth Doula. She has a 15 year old son, a 12 year old daughter, and a very silly golden retriever. She loves teaching these classes because she knows how important it is to feel prepared, to know your options, and to have a voice. She wants every birthing person to feel like they are seen and heard, but most importantly, that they matter.

Dr. Karen Garcia
Pronouns (she/her/ella)
Karen is an Osteopathic Pediatrician and IBCLC. She is a mother of two boys (5 and 7) and lives in Calhoun County with her family. She loves connecting with families to help support their health. She champions connections within communities to better support our families.

Sophie McNeil
Pronouns (she/her)
Sophie is a Registered Nurse who has 9 years of experience working with moms, dads, support persons, and babies. She has a background in caring for patients on a Mother-Baby unit and a Labor and Delivery floor. She has been teaching a variety of prenatal classes for 7 years and is a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (car seat tech). Sophie has additional training in Safe Sleep, Breastfeeding, and Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders. Sophie has 4 children ages 9,7,5, and 3 and enjoys baking, camping, and exercising with friends. She is passionate about connecting with new parents and caregivers to help them feel empowered to make the best choices for themselves and their families throughout their entire journey.

Tiffany Beeke
Pronouns (she/her/hers)
Tiffany is a Registered Nurse and has been working on a Labor and Delivery unit for 6 years now. She is also a Certified Childbirth Educator. Tiffany is originally from North Carolina, but has lived in Michigan now for 10 years. She has been married to her wonderful husband for 5 years. They also have a very sweet and loving chocolate lab with their newest edition being a red toy poodle puppy. Tiffany loves teaching these classes to make people feel more empowered throughout their process of labor and birth. She feels everyone should have a voice and knowledge in their care.

Emma Youngs
Pronouns (she/her/hers)
Emma is a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician and Instructor (CPST-I). She has been working in childhood injury prevention for 3 years with a background in child and family development and family life education. She hopes to make the car seat and safety world feel less scary and intimidating for parents and caregivers. She loves coming alongside families and helping them navigate the challenges of keeping children safe as they grow and explore the world.

Lisa Kubiak
Pronouns (she/her/hers)
Lisa is a Registered Nurse, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Certified Educator of Infant Massage, and has training in Perinatal Mental Health and Support. She has been working as a Lactation Consultant for almost 13 years, and is passionate about family support and health education, with attendtion to the individual experience and needs as a pathway to self confidence and pride in the parenting journey. She is married with two teenage children who keep her busy with many athletic and school activities. She enjoys walks with her rescue dog, Hope, and any time spent with her family during this busy season of life, boating, skiing (both winter and water!) and finding projects to do around the house that sometimes gets in over her head.
